  5. Purification: Purification involves rigorous testing of reclaimed refrigerants to ensure they meet quality standards. Filtration and chemical treatments are used to achieve the desired level of purity suitable for reuse.

  6. Reuse or Destruction: Purified refrigerants can be reused in new equipment or systems requiring cooling. If reuse isn't viable, refrigerants may undergo destruction processes like high-temperature incineration or chemical neutralization to prevent ozone depletion or greenhouse gas emissions.
